2011 Louisville Slugger Z1000 SB11Z

OK, OK, so we were wrong about this bat. We are not big fans of LS bats performance wise and definitely not a fan of their customer service. We tried to avoid ever selling one of their bats for those reasons but after testing the Z1000 we changed our mind. They hit well when stock and even better if you remove the device attached to the inside of the endcap shown in the pictures. I think LS is taking a cue from Demarini about putting strange things inside of bats just to see what will happen. This tube has a metal ring inside of the white foam you see that seems to be there to restrict the bat's walls from flexing too much. I guess that's how they get it to pass ASA inspection. When we shave them we remove the tube and just insert the endcap with extra endload to make up for the missing weight. The resulting performance is pretty impressive. The sweet spot ends a little too soon if you ask me since I always hit the end of the bat but that's my problem. Just don't try to send one back for a warranty replacement or you will be sleeping with the fishes as it appears to be run by mafia headquarters.
